Wokingham Roofing Company replaces rooflines across Wokingham — fascias, soffits, bargeboards and guttering, usually as one job. The roofline is the roof's edge armour: the fascia carries the gutter and the last row of tiles, the soffit closes and ventilates the eaves, and the gutter moves thousands of litres of rainwater a year away from your walls. When one part fails, the others are rarely far behind.
The tell-tales are familiar on Wokingham's 1930s semis and 60s–80s estates: flaking paint on timber boards, sagging gutter runs, green algae stripes down the render, and drips at joints that no amount of sealant cures for long.

What a roofline replacement includes
Full board removal
Old timber comes off completely — not capped over. Capping traps rot against the rafter feet where you can't see it, which is why we won't do it.
uPVC fascias and soffits
18mm–20mm uPVC boards from established systems like FloPlast and Freefoam, screwed with stainless fixings, in white, anthracite, black or woodgrain foils.
Eaves ventilation
Over-fascia vents or a ventilated soffit strip maintain the airflow lofts need — sealing the eaves tight is how condensation and black mould start upstairs.
New guttering and downpipes
Half-round or high-capacity deep-flow gutter, refitted to a proper fall, with new brackets at correct centres and eaves felt trays protecting the fascia top edge.

Why ventilation is the detail that matters
Most roofline quotes look identical on paper, and the difference shows up two winters later in the loft. A roofline replacement seals the eaves far tighter than the gappy old timber ever did — and unless ventilation is deliberately designed back in, moist household air condenses on the underside of the roof, soaking insulation and staining ceilings. Building Regulations expect the equivalent of a continuous 10mm eaves gap on most pitched roofs; we achieve it with over-fascia vents or ventilated soffit board as standard, matched to whether your roof has a breathable membrane or original felt.
It's a few pounds of plastic at install time. Retrofitting it after mould appears costs considerably more, which is why we treat it as non-negotiable.
